Finding Grampy is a warm-hearted tale, written and illustrated by Birgitta, for the young ones and the young at heart about life’s lessons of love, loss, grief, friendship, forgiveness, and finding one’s inner voice.

The book was recently launched internationally with a festive event in Oslo, Norway, where Birgitta currently lives.

Finding Grampy is a little hero’s journey about a nine-year-old boy, Leon, who ventures out in the night on a quest to find his beloved grandfather, Grampy, on the same day that the old man is buried. Leon refuses to believe Grampy is dead when the adults mumble quietly, ‘the old man is still very much here and with us…all around….’ at the funeral.

Birgitta has both authored and illustrated a total of 54 handmade, fullpage and double-spread, illustrations.

Finding Grampy invites all readers, young and old, into a bright, hopeful universe consisting of 168 pages.
